Any documentary but what a sad story about this young Palomino.. He didn't have to die and if I was Buck I would've taken the horse from her and geld it to start with.. After this, I would have some dominant mares to teach him some manners.. The guy who was attacked totally misread the horse his body language and got himself in harms way… It's such a shame they gave up on him..😢
I grew up on horseback–old school: dominate. Somehow, I always intuited there was a better way. Most horses are willing to please for the connection it creates with a human companion.
THAT BOND WITH THE ANIMAL IS REALLY AWESOME! I FEEL LIKE I SENSE ALOT OF BEHAVIOR CHANGES MAYBE MORE THAN MOST WITH CERTAIN ANIMALS…IDK BUCK IS AWESOME IT SEEMS
Hi again SHAE Happy Anniversary to you two! Horses are doing great and Ezzy is growing so fast and looking beautiful. Looking forward to your boutique coming soon. Catcha next time.
Oliver is doing great with the training. I look forward to seeing when he pulls a sled. I'm su6he is a natural ❤❤❤ If Sioux doesn't take Would you consider ensemenation of Sioux with Oliver? I really like how you take the time to show us the beauty of your land and what wildlife lives there, as well as the trees!! Thanks both JR and Becca, and of course, Oliver!!!❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I was about 8 years old and remmber Dad walking 5 miles, the 2 old horses (Blackie and Chessie) to the auction barn, and brought home 2 other horses, (Lady and Topsey).Long life we had , was Beautiful to have had the experience,us as children all cried when they left but was just as happy to have the 2 new ones
That was beautiful! I am 75 and have to remind myself that I shouldn't ride a horse again. But it is the one thing I want to do. If not ride, be around a beautiful, loving, calm horse and just love it. My dream!
I am wondering if that hand raised colt would have responded to some serious groundwork… drive, lead, disengage, back up… so it could stop feeling like it had to be the leader and could finally relax.
Tom Dorrance and Buck helped Steven Young from Wales become the amazing horseman and human he is today. If you don’t know Steve, I think you’d find the steps further he’s taken these two great people’s teachings quite encouraging. When the pupil surpasses the teacher, then the teacher is so proud that they helped along an even more amazing individual themselves.
Thank you Buck, for taking your life into such a place of courage, kindness, and service. I am so grateful to the couple who took Buck and his brother into their home and raised them so kind,y and sensibly.
Love this movie about Buck Branaman. Tears of gratitude for the story that isn't Holly-wired. You get to feel and taste what is going on. It is life changing.
Don't be fooled, this is NOT a horse documentary. As Buck said early on: 'So many times I find instead of helping people with horse problems I am helping horses with people problems!"
That woman that owns the violent young horse & all the studs should not own horses. That violent horse should've been gelded as soon as possible after he showed signs of aggression toward the first person. She was the problem not him. Shame they put him down.. Beautiful horse.
What a great documentary. I watched this years ago and was very moved by Buck's early life and how much he overcame. With love and understanding. Truly an inspiration. ❤

Ty for sharing. The horse whisper was a favorite of mine, I'll watch it differently now.

42:12…Sometimes good, honest work is the only thing that makes sense.
II Corinthians 3:17…Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
He never seems to reward the horse. Unless the lack of punishment is the reward. I don't know.
great for anyone !! k
Buck Brannaman is my hero ❤

What joy I feel watching this movie. Beautiful story… for all involved. Thank you for all you do for so many people and horses! ❤
Buck, “ How ya doin’ there Buddy”? Horse, “Well, good, now that you are here.”
