I’m sure at least some people here have had this nasty occurrence.
A movie grabs your attention and ear with its gripping soundtrack, yet you FIND THAT THE BEST PARTS OF IT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE COMMERCIAL RELEASE.
Perhaps some of you have worked their way around this, and here I am asking – how?
Because I find it too risky to rely on insiders who get the complete scores leaked and posted on YouTubes, and extracting the 1:1 audio from the movie file can be excruciating given the necessity of a 5.1 format and proper tools/software (note: none of which I have). Oh, and there’s no guarantee the sound mixers didn’t blend some SFX/dialogue with your intended sections, even as faint hum.
So… is there anything I, we, any of us could do? Contact the people involved? Anything?
