Eddie Murphy who is not a particularly big dude at this age scenes like this put notions in men’s minds that distort reality that end up causing dudes to get their asses kicked because they’re biting off more than they can chew there were a lot of movies in the 80s that did that the rocky movies were one long invitation for short Italian guys to go out and get the shit kicked out of them I remember witnessing too many one-sided street fights back in the 80s. Fortunately I personally never bought into it. I knew I was just a skinny dude with a skinny neck and a head like a punching bag . I didn’t need to get beat up to be aware of that I would much rather back down and run, like who I was then fight outside my weight class better to know how big you actually are then to was to try to be a smart ass comedian to make a point that didn’t need to be made a lot of dudes end up waking up in in emergency rooms that way not me it was bad enough watching all the dudes who thought they could skateboard like Tony hawk who couldn’t catastrophic skateboard fails were so common place for my generation don’t let pop-culture disconnect you from reality. It’s both painful and expensive. And it doesn’t age well
