I hate for my first post here to be one of… well, hate. But I have been left no choice. I consider myself a bit of a soundtrack junkie and the movie that made me this way was Pacific Rim. Ramin Djawadi and Tom Morello, in my opinion, created the most perfect monster movie soundtrack to date. And when I heard the soundtrack to the newer Pacific Rim: Uprising, I almost broke down in tears (exaggeration). Lorne Balfe, who I actually greatly admire for the Assassin’s creed 3 soundtrack, absolutely murdered Pacific Rim. Nothing, and I mean nothing beat watching Gypsy Danger walk up to a giant monster with a boat in his hand and proceeding to beat his ass with the epic guitar of Tom Morello and awesome brass of Ramin Djawadi in the background. And then you turn on Uprisings soundtrack and it sounds like something Lorne had in his garage band folders so he could make a quick buck.
So again, sorry for the hate, just had to get this off my chest.
