It all started when this woman named Jill started helping her 94-year-old neighbor slowly declutter her apartment. The senior woman wasn’t usually up for in-person interactions, but was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in her home. So Jill started helping her declutter very slowly—the senior woman would leave a thing or two out side of her door, and Jill would come to pick them up to either throw away or donate. Her and her elderly neighbor started having a beautiful friendship and she shared recipe’s with her.
Jill decided that wholesome relationship should be shared with the world, so she started posting videos everyday of the little things that her neighbor would leave outside of her door and would include one of her recipes at the end. Thousands and thousands of people started tuning in and were so excited with the old-timey recipes. Many people would even try out the recipes and share them with Jill to share with her neighbor. When the elderly woman found out that so many people were using her family’s recipes she became so happy, that she ended up giving Jill her entire collection of family recipes—most are even handwritten by herself or the family member who created the recipe.
Jill is now sharing her neighbor’s recipes as much as she can and her neighbor tells her it brings her lots of happiness and comfort knowing that these recipes won’t disappear into nothingness once she’s gone. Many viewers are saying she should help her neighbor publish a cookbook with all the recipes. Others are just grateful Jill sharing this wholesome relationship and bring a little bit more faith into humanity.
