Captivating from start to finish with great story telling that takes you on a journey of discovery, challenge and triumph. More than a beautifully filmed athletic documentary – it shares stories, lessons and experiences that reach far beyond the trail. It is inspiring, thoughtful and well worth the watch!

Looots of ego floating around in this flick. Some of the narratives felt forced and constructed by the production. The feats were incredible though! Danny Novotny and Alea Moore were the most badass!

I have run 100 miles in approx. 20 hours. Absolutely the most grueling and painful, blackness I’ve ever pushed through in my life. A top Navy seal did the same thing and said it was much much harder than anything in Navy Seal training. I had explosive diarrhea and my knee swelled up from a rubbing tendon and I duct-taped it and ran 30 more miles to finish before sunrise in the fog. It hurt so bad until I got to 8 minute pace so I would automatically have a ragged yell before I reached that speed. I ran about 1/2 mile then went back to walking again at the end. Kept doing that, yelling… hallucinating Sebastian from the little mermaid. I was definitely a changed person after that run. It was like the Indian “vision quests” on steroids. The best part is knowing deep down what I did. I did what I thought was impossible before I did it. And I did it. That stays with you forever—like every day. So many things which bothered you or seemed like obstacles before just don’t any more. You are a changed person forever. 🤯☠️💩👻👁️🦞🐉🌎🗽💎🔑🪄 That’s why I finally came out transgender and make all the crazy videos about seeing god speaking in things. Which actually is real. ❤ You will find out if you do. In other news, I didn’t know the Northman was running in this race! 😮 I like the beard. It was cool when he caught the spear and threw it back. 😮 I think the Navy Seal I was talking about was David Goggins. Thanks for the awesome video: when I wrote this comment originally I actually had not watched it yet: I didn’t know that he was a Navy Seal actually in the film. Lol. 😂👍🏻❤️ Yogi Berra said “50% of the game is 90% mental” but it applies more to ultrarunnning than baseball. 🤷‍♀️

1:36:25. ok so 35000 ft of elevation gain over 100 miles at their starting elevation does not compare to starting at 17k feet up to everest, through icefalls, deathzone, oxygen assist etc. this comparison is incorrect. although the challenge of this race is obviously formidable, just like the originator Barkley Marathon.
