Looking for similar, contemporary music to the following soundtracks (Rolfe Kent, Theodore Shapiro, Ed Shearmur) -Playlists

I love all kinds of film scores, but I find that very contemporary sounding scores can be listened to in a passive manner and often aren’t as escapist as something much more fully enveloping like a John Williams, James Horner or Hans Zimmer score. It’s hard to get things done if you’re listening to these composers since most of their work is designed to swell the emotions.

Here are a few titles that I think have a nice contemporary sounds to them that sort of just keep me moving without refocusing my attention to cinematic scenes.

The Parent Trap (1998) – Alan Silvestri
Jawbreaker (1999) – Stephen Endleman
Cruel Intentions (1999) Ed Shearmur
Election (1999) – Rolfe Kent
Not Another Teen Movie [unreleased] (2001) – Ed Shearmur
Mean Girls (2004) – Rolfe Kent
The Devil Wears Prada (2006) – Theodore Shapiro

Funny I say contemporary and all these scores are as far back as 25-17 years ago.
As you can see I need to update my library and listen to something more recent. What are some titles that feature similar sounds to these? Can you please recommend some? Thanks
