The score is in every way an improvement over the first, which I already think is fantastic. The second half of the score (avoiding spoilers) is on another level. Unless Dune 2 or Oppenheimer live up to my expectations on their score (which is very likely), I think Pemberton’s score can easily take best score of the year. This is also officially my favorite “Marvel” (loosely cuz it’s not mcu) score, taking the mantle from Black Panther. The sound design, tension, careful use of motifs, both as sound and melodic lines… it’s too good
