Idina Menzel Throws It Back To Being A Guest On The 1989 Tour Stage, But She Left Out Taylor Swift’s Hilarious Olaf Costume- Armessa Movie News

Swifties have been spoiled, between Taylor Swift’s most epic live show yet, the Eras Tour movie (which hits different from the actual tour experience) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) complete with its “glown-up” album cover. Amidst all the current Swift-related happenings in the world, Frozen star Idina Menzel threw things back to her own Swiftie moment, circa 2015 during the 1989 World Tour. It’s most definitely a great all-time on-stage moment for the artist that’s worth melting for. However, the actress forget Swift’s Olaf costume

Just ahead of the calendar turning to November, Idina Menzel took to her Instagram to recall where she was on All Hallow’s Eve eight years ago, referring to the night as the “best Halloween ever.” The photo she shared can be viewed below:

That’s right, Idina Menzel took to the stage with Ms. Taylor Swift that night while she was playing Tampa, Florida. If you weren’t following Swift’s memorable 1989 era back then, then know that the singer would regularly bring out famous artists to her shows on the regular to sing a song and, most of the time, those performances would be duets. On Halloween, the crowd went absolutely wild when Swift brought out Menzel to sing “Let It Go.”

Rick & Morty Season 7 Episode 3 Recap: 10 Most Hilarious Moments – Armessa Movie News

WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Rick & Morty season 7, episode 3!

  • Rick and Morty
season 7 breaks away from its established formula, focusing on supporting characters like Mr. Poopybutthole and Jerry in hilarious and silly adventures.

  • The Loch Ness monster’s fate in episode 3 showcases the show’s humor through the contrast between Rick’s reaction and the President’s surreal description.
  • Unity’s comeback in season 7 brings back a central character from a previous episode, providing a fitting and humorous storyline while satirizing US politics.

While Rick and Morty season 7, episode 3 is a more emotionally charged adventure than the rest of the outing’s stories so far, this didn’t stop the episode from providing some classic gags. Rick and Morty season 7’s episodes started strong with an entry focused on, of all people, the supporting star Mr. Poopybutthole. Even though recent seasons of the series had reduced Mr. Poopybutthole’s role to little more than a recurring joke, Rick and Morty season 7, episode 1, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” managed to center an entire episode around the character’s relationship with Rick.

This proved thatRick and Morty season 7 wasn’t going to stick with the show’s established formula, which was reaffirmed by the next outing of the series. Season 7, episode 2, “The Jerrick Trap,” saw Jerry and Rick pair up in an adventure that finally leveled the playing field between the duo and allowed both characters to shine in a supremely silly, fun story. However, the title of the following episode promised something a little more serious, and the series delivered. Rick and Morty season 7, episode 3, “Air Force Wong,” brought back Rick’s therapist Dr. Wong in an outing that was both poignant and hilarious, providing plenty of funny moments throughout.

10 The Loch Ness Monster’s Fate In Rick & Morty

According to the President, the Loch Ness monster was transported to Lake Erie where her bones were replaced with titanium before she was then bitten by numerous werewolves, giving the US a perfect anti-submarine weapon. However, the President then noted that the Soviets used a leprechaun to turn the Loch Ness monster’s bones to silver, thus seemingly killing her. Like many of the funniest moments in Rick and Morty season 7, episode 2, what made this gag work was the contrast between Rick’s nonplused reaction and the increasingly surreal events the president described.

9 Mr. Stabby’s Show

Rick watches television in an alien hospital during Rick and Morty Interdimensional Cable 2

Before Rick was called away for another mission, he and Morty kicked back and watched some TV. Since they still have access to that old Rick and Morty staple, interdimensional cable, the show they landed on was Mr. Stabby. The series appeared to consist of an alien with swords for limbs taking questions from the audience and inevitably killing them in the process. Understandably, this prompted Rick to wonder why anyone would get tickets to this show.

8 The President Assembles A Crack Team

The President soon called Rick up and demanded that he help him with another mission. This time, the President brought reinforcements. However, his so-called “crack team” consisted of an alien who “might” be able to tell the future, a rock monster, and a sentient fridge. While Rick and Morty season 7 made the unassuming Gene into a hero years after his series debut, the show wasn’t able to pull off the same trick with these unlikely experts. Shortly after they attacked Virginia with the President, every member of the President’s crack team was almost immediately overpowered.

7 Unity’s Rick & Morty Season 7 Comeback

Although Christina Hendricks’ Unity hasn’t been seen since Rick and Morty season 2, episode 3, “Auto Erotic Assimilation,” the hive mind was central to the story of “Air Force Wong.” It turned out that Unity had been trying to talk to Rick for some time since she heard about his attempts to track down Rick Prime as she was worried about his mental health. The idea that Unity took over the entire state of Virginia just to talk to Rick was priceless, while Rick and Morty successfully revived this earlier story with a fitting comeback for Unity.

6 The President Threatens To Send 4000 Warheads

The president of the US laughs in an evil way in Rick and Morty

The President’s fight with Unity saw him threaten to send 4000 warheads to her ship, about “3000 of which will turn out to work.” This brutal dig at the US’s military overspending was then underlined when the President promised to call China after this attack, implying that the country’s stronger military would be an even bigger threat to Unity. However, this wasn’t the only satirical jab at US politicians in “Air Force Wong.”

5 The President’s Approval Rating Plan

Rick fights with the President in Rick and Morty

When the President realized that Unity had left Earth behind, but her brainwashed followers still functioned as a collective hive mind, he immediately tried to cynically take advantage of this. The President subsequently turned Unity’s followers into his most ardent supporters. While a group of mindless, uncritical followers is something many politicians would love to accrue, this gag felt particularly pointed since the President’s desire to improve his standing came from his bottomless need for approval.

4 “We Met. She Was Me For A Second”

Dr Wong in her office in Rick and Morty

While many of Rick and Morty season 7, episode 1’s best jokes were inspired moments of anarchic cartoon violence, “Air Force Wong” took things down a notch. There was still plenty of gross-out humor, but one of the episode’s best gags came when Rick introduced Unity and his therapist in person. Ever unflappable, an unfazed Dr. Wong noted that the pair had already met when Wong was assimilated into Unity’s hive mind, noting that Unity briefly inhabited her body before moving on with the conversation.

3 Rick’s Group Discount

After Unity, Wong, and Rick finally converted all the President’s followers to Unity’s hive mind, Wong noted that this had been a most unconventional therapy session. Rick then asked whether the therapist did group discounts, grinning at his own joke as the huge crowd stood in silence. Humbled, Rick changed his mind and told Wong to send the bill to the White House. This gag proved that Justin Roiland’s exit and formula changes might be just what Rick and Morty season 7 needed as the show prioritized these small, silly moments of character-based humor amidst all the outlandish sci-fi antics.

2 Rick’s Answering Machine Messages

When Rick returned home to the Smith house, he sat and listened to the voice messages that Unity sent him before she assimilated Virginia. Rick gradually became more slumped and hopeless as he realized that his ex really had reached out to him out of concern, while he had ignored this bid for connection. This led him to adopt a pose that mirrored his sullen aspect at the end of “Auto Erotic Assimilation,” until a call from David Miscavige came through praising Rick for defending Scientology, flipping the scene’s mood in an instant.

1 Mr. Stabby’s Post-Credits Cameo

Rick yelling at Beth in ABCs of Beth on Rick and Morty.

The first post-credits scene in Rick and Morty season 7 was a bizarre non-sequitur involving a rampaging lawnmower, so it seemed like “Air Force Wong” would have a hard time topping this gag. However, the episode managed to outdo this with a post-credits interview with Mr. Stabby. During this tense conversation, a late-night host revealed that Mr. Stabby’s show was somehow responsible for thousands of deaths, prompting the Rick and Morty supporting star to reply that all publicity was good publicity.

Rick & Morty Season 7 Episode 1’s 10 Most Hilarious Jokes – Armessa Movie News

WARNING! This article contains spoilers for Rick and Morty season 7, episode 1!

  • Mr. Poopybutthole’s return is a hilarious surprise, and his fourth-wall breaking intro adds to the humor.
  • Birdperson’s out-of-character behavior and Gene’s unexpected role in the reunion provide unexpected gags.
  • The appearance of Hugh Jackman and the Predator’s affair with Amy add humor to the storyline, while Rick’s fading pills have a comedic twist.

Now that Rick and Morty season 7, episode 1 has finally arrived, the Adult Swim hit’s best jokes prove the series hasn’t lost its magic touch. Rick and Morty season 7’s production was plagued by controversy. Although the season 5 finale of the series was a show-shaking installment that effectively rewrote the canon of its entire universe, Rick and Morty season 6 felt like a step backward as its standalone episodes returned to more straightforward misadventures. Outside its premiere and Rick and Morty season 6’s ending, the latest batch of installments largely ignored the events of season 5, episode 10, “Rickmurai Jack.”

However, such storyline and gag criticisms soon became the least ofRick and Morty season 7’s problems. In January 2023, voice actor Justin Roiland was charged with domestic battery, leading Adult Swim to cut ties with the controversial star. This meant that Rick and Morty season 7’s cast needed to replace both title characters and many supporting figures, and the show’s creators courted controversy upon announcing that Rick and Morty’s new actors would be “soundalikes.” While Roiland’s other series Solar Opposites immediately acknowledged his exit with a meta-joke, Rick and Morty season 7 opted instead to ignore the issue. Nonetheless, Rick & Morty season 7 returns with plenty of hilarious gags for the series’ final few outings.

10 Mr. Poopybutthole’s Fourth-Wall Breaking Intro

Ignoring Roiland’s exit turned out to be the right call. Against all the odds, Rick and Morty season 7, episode 1, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” is one of the show’s funniest episodes in years. The loose, goofy plot began strong with the revelation that Mr. Poopybutthole had been crashing with the Smiths since breaking his legs at the end of season 6. While Rick and Morty season 7 confirmed dead characters could potentially return, the comeback of Mr. Poopybutthole was still unexpected since the series had only used him for post-credits stinger scenes recently. Thus, Mr. Poopybutthole grabbing the camera and addressing the audience was a hilarious surprise.

9 Birdperson’s Strained Parenting

Rick talks to Birdperson in the Rick and Morty season 7 trailer

While Mr. Poopybutthole’s return was the first big laugh in “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” this was not the last time that the episode mined a surprising character comeback for comedy. After Rick accepted that he needed to organize an intervention for Mr. Poopybutthole, despite his refusal to use the term, he set about getting Mr. Poopybutthole’s friends back together. This meant contacting Birdperson, who was last seen in a poignant Rick and Morty season 5 outing where he learned he had a daughter. After this emotional revelation, finding out that Birdperson was now eager to abandon her to get drunk with his friends was a hilariously out-of-character shock.

8 Gene’s Role in Rick and Morty’s Big Reunion

Birdperson Squanchy Gearhead and Rick talk to Gene as he sits on a ride-on lawnmower beside a portal in Rick and Morty season 7 trailer

After Rick and Morty season 7 reunited Gearhead, Squanchy, and Mr. Poopybutthole with Rick, the show’s antihero realized that the intervention needed at least one sober designated driver. The unlikely final addition to this ragtag band was Gene, an unassuming neighbor of the Smith family. Seeing this quiet suburbanite join in with the debauched partying and prove that he could hold his own was another unexpected and welcome gag.

7 Rick’s Ridiculous Robot Ghost

Bearded Rick talks to Morty in Rick and Morty

Before Rick could concede that an intervention was clearly necessary for Mr. Poopybutthole, the character briefly attempted to get rid of his house guest with a robot ghost. This plan involved Rick constructing a robot, programming it with unspecified “Business,” then pulling the plug on it before its Business was fully uploaded so that the resulting robot ghost would have “Unfinished business.” While this initial gag was funny, it was the sight of the ghost robot haunting Rick later in the season 7 premiere that really tied this one together.

6 Hugh Jackman’s Unexpected Rick and Morty Cameo

Since Rick and Morty season 7’s risky Roiland recasting has dominated news about the show’s return, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back” managed to sneak an unexpected and hilarious A-list celebrity cameo into its storyline. When Gene, Squanchy, Gearhead, Mr. Poopybutthole, and Rick arrived at an exclusive rave, they were met by none other than Hugh Jackman. While Rick thought his clout as an Oscars host would give him some common ground with the star, it turned out Gene was the one Jackman really wanted to hang out with.

5 The Predator’s Affair With Amy

A photo of Mr Poopybutthole with his wife Amy and their son

The Predator made a surprise appearance early on in “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” when Mr. Poopybutthole guiltily admitted that he had sent one of the franchise’s eponymous monsters to track his ex-wife Amy. However, when Mr. Poopybutthole tracked down Amy later in the outing, he was horrified to discover that the Predator was doing more than merely stalking his ex. The revelation that the iconic sci-fi horror monster was sleeping with Amy was an inspired gag.

Mr. Poopybutthole gets shot in Rick and Morty.

When Mr. Poopybutthole faced down the Predator, he seemed doomed to lose the fight. However, he then reminded the Predator that, as viewers who had seen his earlier appearances in Rick and Morty would know, he was actually a surprisingly adept martial artist. What made this meta-gag so funny was the fact that, immediately after reminding the Predator of his canonical fighting prowess, the drunken Mr. Poopybutthole promptly got beaten to a pulp.

3 Rick’s Fading Pills

A manic Rick and a concerned Morty in Rick and Morty season 6 finale

While Rick and Morty season 7 promised a major character return in one promo, the show didn’t hint at just how many of its supporting stars would show up in the premiere. Brilliantly utilizing these many characters’ returns, the closing scene of “How Poopy Got His Poop Back” gave Rick, Hugh Jackman, Squanchy, and Gearhead the Stand By Me treatment as Mr. Poopybutthole narrated their future misadventures. However, this was hilariously subverted when Rick revealed that he had given everyone pills that made them fade away, claiming these were a perfect hangover cure.

2 Gene’s Special Meal Deal

Closeups of both Rick and Squanchy from Rick and Morty

The fading pills worked for everyone else, although Mr. Poopybutthole found the process more painful than anticipated, but badly backfired for Gene. He had just purchased a large fast food meal that was intended for a group of friends to consume together when the entire gang faded away before he could re-emerge from the Mexican restaurant. Thus, Gene was left alone and had his meal taken from him, still without a clue where the gang disappeared to.

1 Gene’s Wayward Lawn Mower

Gene leans over the fence as Morty rants in Rick and Morty

While Mr. Poopybutthole’s stinger appearances have been dark, they are rarely as hilarious as the grim post-credits scene of “How Poopy Got His Poop Back.” Here, the lawnmower that Gene abandoned to hang out with Rick and company is revealed to have cut a bloody, chaotic swathe through his hometown. The appliance kills one last cop before puttering to a stop, prompting Rick and Morty’s bemused policeman to note that their superior would have survived if he simply moved a few feet away.

Billie Eilish Shared A Hilarious Yet Fair Take On Why ‘Bad Guy’ Is ‘The Stupidest Song,’ But I Have To Disagree- Armessa Movie News

Billie Eilish first turned heads with her gorgeous vocals at the age of 13 when she released her first single “Ocean Eyes” on SoundCloud, which nabbed her a record deal and served as the beginning to her now-massive career. But most people (including myself) first became acquainted with Billie four years later when “bad guy” became a No. 1 hit. Years later, (now that Eilish has had quite a few huge songs) the singer is playfully dunking on the pop song with a super hot take, and I have thoughts.

When Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell were guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, hot off the hot pink heels of their Barbie song going viral, the talk show host asked Billie if there are any songs she cringes a little bit about looking back. I was pretty surprised to hear this response from the 21-year-old:

Well, objectively ‘bad guy’ is the stupidest song in the world, but it’s really good. Oh my god, don’t gasp, but you have to have understand, you have to have humor in it. That song I’m trolling, you know what I’m saying? Like that song is supposed to be goofy, but it’s just funny because I’m like ‘It’s dumb.’ It’s literally… like ‘duh?’ Like, what does that mean?
