I went to see this movie in theater, I don't know why everybody is giving it good reviews.
It was so cheesy and just obviously fake seeming. I would prefer a vampire movie that was actually believable.
I can't remember the number of times someone did the scared slow turn of the head. It's like okay I get it! You're scared and you're slowly turning your head to look at some sound that you just heard, it doesn't build the suspense when this is like the third time in the movie that this has happened.
Anyways I went to see this movie with someone too and I watched the whole thing, but I felt like I would have rather watch Barbie or Oppenheimer.
Hey marketing people, "the world is a vampire" is not a song you should be just putting into everything, not even when there's a literal vampire. In fact, ESPECIALLY if there's a literal vampire in a dedicated horror movie because that strikes a very goofy tone. Don't want to be replaced by AI? Operate at a level that understands music choice.
This was pretty good overall, though during the day I would have ripped the ship apart finding the vampiric devil..but a pretty good film overall. The critics went hard on this film, I don't agree with them.
Honestly, I had medium expectations. this was the best horror movie Ive seen in quite some time, well written, woke free, good visuals and amazing over all feel
For those of you who love the story of Dracula, I can tell you this movie is not based on a true story. I know him, and he is still alive. He did watch this film, and he laughed a lot.
