1:00 It's interesting to see that the Colonel Miles Quaritch, is back after he was killed on the first film by receiving two arrows to the chest, as now he will return as a Na'vi Recombinant. Which are avatar clones that hold the memories of human soldiers and apparently he won't be returning alone as in the film he will have a whole set of avatar soldiers ready for battle. With the memories of what happened to him from the first film, this newer version of Quaritch is now on a quest for revenge. But he won't be the only one coming back for revenge as the RDA, the same company from the first film, is also set to return with newer technology to combat the Na'vi. The company will once again be stripping for more resources from Pandora, but this time around they have an eye for its oceans. As this will have relevance and had to do more with the main plot of the movie.

Nobody talk about 2:36, but this 1 second shot has an immense details. You can see that the water and wet surface simulations are completely on another lever, newer seen before in cinematography.

His passion diverged a little from movies for a while, that's all.
I personally don't know if the 2nd part will top the 1st one, boxoffice wise, but I think it is good to be excited. So don't feel ashamed for being excited about AVATAR 2, not everything has to rotate around MARVEL.
Edit: Plus, one of James Cameron's biggest trademark has been to innovate. To bring or showcase the newest technology/technics into his films. To be a pioneer in the work he presents to the industry. So for that i say 'YES!' to James. Because he likes to 'push the envelope' and work to the highest standards when it comes to visuals and effects.

I will wait for the DVD, 3D gives me an extreme headache. Even if the sequel is only 1/2 as good as the original, it will be great.
