90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Jen Boecher made disturbing claims about Rishi Singh’s family in an emotional video on Instagram. 90 Day Fiancé‘s Jen Boecher, who works as a speech and language pathologist for a living, was in India for a solo trip when she bumped into model Rishi in a Jaipur hotel lobby. Jen didn’t think much about Rishi, 32, at first but became engaged to him within a month. They were separated by distance for two years, and Jen soon moved to India to get married to him. However, she found out Rishi hadn’t told his family about his engagement.
In a recent 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 episode, Jen visited Rishi’s house with her friends to disclose their secret, and she received backlash since it apparently wasn’t her place to do that. Jen took to Instagram after the episode to, in turn, slam Rishi’s family in a menacing reveal.
“I know that a lot of people think me and my friends were very rude for going over to the family’s house,” said Jen, noting she understood the backlash to a certain degree. Jen then started listing down the alleged “criteria” Rishi’s family has for his future wife. They feel she “must not be dark-skinned,” “she must not be short” and “she must be educated,” according to Jen.

Jen wanted to tell her followers that his family is not so “great.” What also “broke” Jen’s heart is Rishi’s uncle allegedly saying mean words to Rishi’s brother, whom she said is “intellectually impaired,” such as “worthless” and “useless.” Jen cried as she shared that she believes this behavior is “not okay.” Jen asked, “How dare he?” and told her fans to “please think about” what they are saying. Reddit user Fresjlll5788 shared the video and called out Jen for acting like a “teenager” in her “immature” video and wrote, “Even if it’s true, she’s totally using the brother being called ‘useless’ as a weapon.”
Jen is now being mocked for sharing private details of Rishi’s family online, especially about his brother’s mental health. She was being ridiculed for the way she ambushed Rishi and his family and used a translator to reveal the engagement news. Rishi had assured Jen he would drop the news two months later in August, but Jen and her friends Randi and Myra had other plans. But the translator told Rishi’s family about Jen and Rishi having exchanged rings and how they planned on getting married and living together. Rishi was left “speechless” and his mother was visibly shocked.
Rishi’s mother eventually gave her blessings to the 90 Day Fiancé couple, but at the same time, Rishi felt betrayed by Jen. His plan was spoiled by the involvement of Jen’s friends. Moreover, Jen announced she want to stay in Mumbai and not Jaipur with Rishi’s family. According to Jen, there are things that haven’t come out on The Other Way about Rishi’s family, and if they had been revealed, their storyline would have turned out to be different. It remains to be seen if Jen’s explosive claims affected her relationship with Rishi in the end.
