Ahsoka Rumor Could Finally Explain Why She Didn’t Train Luke Skywalker – Armessa Movie News

A new rumor regarding Star Wars’ upcoming Ahsoka series could finally explain why the former Jedi didn’t help train Luke Skywalker during the events of the original trilogy. Played by Rosario Dawson, it’s been confirmed that Ahsoka will primarily occur in the same era as The Mandalorian set a few years after Return of the Jedi. While The Book of Boba Fett confirmed Ahsoka Tano and Luke met each during the New Republic era, a new Star Wars theory can reveal why Ahsoka didn’t attempt to train the son of her former master Anakin Skywalker.

A new rumor from Making Star Wars suggests the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ TV show will be split into two parts. While the first four episodes will reveal Ahsoka’s adventures earlier in the Star Wars timeline, the second half will come after a time jump. It will then tie into Star Wars Rebels‘ epilogue, setting up a quest for the missing Imperial warlord Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ahsoka’s friend Ezra Bridger, who vanished into the Unknown Regions.

“Without jumping the gun too much, I believe the epilogue to Star Wars Rebels takes place in the middle of the Star Wars: Ahsoka’s time line with the show essentially having two four part stories. So either Episode 4 has the Rebels epilogue at the very end or Episode 5 begins with the epilogue from Star Wars Rebels. You know, the moment where Ahsoka is dressed in white and Sabine joins her on the quest to find Ezra Bridger once Sabine has done a rad mural and got her post-war life together.”

The report also claims a time jump would explain why House of the Dragon’s Geeta Vasant Patel is directing an episode to help facilitate a similar jump as seen in the Game of Thrones spin-off.

Ahsoka Could Have Skipped The Galactic Civil War

It’s worth noting that a time jump would help explain where Ahsoka was during the original trilogy. The series logo ties to the mystical plane known as the World Between the Worlds, a cosmic realm that can be used to travel in time. It is possible to step into the World Between the Worlds, and emerge in a completely different place in space and time. It’s possible Ahsoka entered the World Between the Worlds, and then stepped through a portal taking her forward in time to the New Republic Era after the Galactic Civil War had already ended.

Jumping ahead with a portal would explain Tano’s absence during the Rebellion’s war with the Empire, and it may also account for Ahsoka’s Gandalf-inspired transformation in Star Wars Rebels‘ epilogue – a change Lucasfilm’s Dave Filoni calls “Ahsoka the White.” It would also explain why she wasn’t available to help train Luke Skywalker as the galaxy’s new hope after Obi-Wan Kenobi was slain by Tano’s old master and Luke’s father Darth Vader. Ahsoka’s absence during the main Galactic Civil War has always seemed odd, given she was a major rebel informant in the build-up to the conflict. This could justify Ahsoka’s absence at last.

The prospect of returning to the World Between the Worlds is an exciting one, and this cosmic realm could easily serve as a bridge between different time periods. This is also quite an unusual narrative tool for Star Wars, which has preferred flashbacks to more sophisticated time jumps, so the rumor from Making Star Wars hints that Ahsoka will certainly shake things up. Hopefully more news will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2023.
