Put on your dancing shoes! Dicks: The Musical is all set to release in select theaters on October 6, 2023, before expanding into a wider release on October 20.

The film had its world premiere had its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival where it was the opening night film in the festival’s Midnight Madness Program. “Dicks: The Musical is a decidedly big swing and a genuinely weird take on the musical that has its moments, but also feels a bit stretched too thin given its concept. There are absolutely highs to this weird wonderland of genitals and Sewer Boys—especially with that third act—but for a comedy that needs to build and build to this idea justice, Dicks: The Musical too often relies on the same jokes told over and over again with a narrative that can’t continuously build the absurdity.”

Dicks: The Musical started off as a two-man stage show under the name F***ing Identical Twins written by Jackson and Sharp themselves. With much of the original songs composed by Karl St. Lucy, the original musical first made its debut in 2014 at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Manhattan.
