Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is known for her ability to take people down, and in the most recent episode, she went after Tom Sandoval. Lala has been a cast member since season 4, but fits into the cast seamlessly, as though she’s been a part of it from the beginning. Over the years, Lala has forged friendships with the majority of the series’ celebs, and speaks openly about how honesty and loyalty are important to her in relationships. When she feels someone is being dishonest with her (or someone she cares about), Lala is quick to speak up, regardless of the circumstances.
Lala’s been embroiled in her fair share of scandal over the years, especially when it comes to her relationship with her ex, Randall Emmett. She always takes accountability for her actions, or apologizes when she needs to. Throughout this Vanderpump Rules installment, Lala has been somewhat suspicious of Tom. However, it only came to a head in the last episodes of the season, as Tom and Raquel Leviss’ affair‘s become more obvious. Lala’s suspicious of Tom and Raquel’s behavior, and she’s been keeping a close eye on the pair. She found some inconsistencies, in terms of what she was hearing from Ariana Madix, and seeing in Tom himself.
Lala Knew Something Was Off At Scheana’s Barbecue
Lala attended a barbecue with Tom, Raquel, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, and several other friends over Labor Day weekend. At the time, Ariana was at home, mourning the loss of her beloved grandmother. When Ariana found out that her grandma had passed away, Tom was already at the party. According to Lala and Tom, she was messaging him, as she wanted him to be with her and console her.
Lala watched as Tom stayed behind at the party, and found it odd that he wasn’t trying to leave, as Ariana was distressed. When she brought this up to James, he found Tom’s conduct out of character. However, due to his suspicions about the affair, he didn’t think twice about it.
Lala Revealed The Truth To Ariana
At Kristina Kelly’s HeartSpring Co. event at TomTom, Lala and Ariana were catching up, and Lala mentioned Tom staying at the barbecue, as she wanted to understand the bigger picture. As Ariana explained her perspective, Lala realized that Tom had been lying to Ariana, and immediately started poking holes in the story. Never one to let a conflict linger, Ariana pulled Tom into the conversation. Lala was quick to get him to confess that he’d been lying to Ariana the whole time, having told her he was unable to find a ride home. The truth was that he really just wanted to stay at the party.
Lala disarmed Tom quickly, getting the information out of him. This left him defeated and embarrassed in front of Ariana. She seemed to be totally exasperated by her long-term boyfriend. Though she can be charismatic and witty, Lala is always ready to pull the truth out of people when she thinks they’re lying. She realized that Tom was trying to put something over on Ariana, and didn’t want her friend to be lied to. This ensured that Tom was left to tell the truth and apologize. The apology, however, may not be enough to fix things between Tom and Ariana.
While Tom and Ariana’s relationship continues to crumble, the Vanderpump Rules cast’s knowledge of the affair has been growing at an exponential rate. With Ariana trusting Raquel wholeheartedly (she defended her several times in the most recent episode), it will be crushing to watch the affair come to light in the remaining episodes of the season. Though Ariana has been thriving after splitting from Tom, it’s likely that she’s had friends like Lala keeping her strong throughout her rebound and recovery.
