How To Scale The Castle Walls in Hogwarts Legacy

As seen in the video by GamerPillar, players will need to scale the High Keep in order to find the evidence to accuse Harlow in Hogwarts Legacy. To begin the climb, head on over to the far right of the castle wall. There is a wooden platform leaning up against the castle wall. Walk around to the left, where a gate has a mechanism beside it. Use Depulso on the mechanism to open the gate. The gate will stay open. Next, use either the Accio or the Wingardium Leviosa spell to move the crate inside the gate back to the breaking wall where the player first climbed up.

There is another climbing wall that the crate needs to be placed in front of. Jump onto the crate and then onto the wall to climb to the next level. Unfortunately, this part of the quest in Hogwarts legacy can have some glitches, so if the player does not immediately climb the wall, they might need to readjust the crate until they jump high enough to trigger the climbing ability. Turning the crate onto its side to be slightly taller is an excellent way to combat the glitch.

Next, the player can use Depulso or a similar spell to blast the plank wall in front of the next entryway. If the player crawls inside, they will find another wooden crate that can be moved, blocking the way. Unfortunately, spells in Hogwarts Legacy cannot be used in a crouched space like this, so the crate must be moved another way. Instead of entering, go around to the back of the building. There is a window on the opposite side where the crate can be seen. Use Accio to pull the crate away from the crawlspace from the window. Return to the crawlspace and enter to emerge in the Gatehouse.

Getting the gate to stay open can be a bit tricky. Using Revelio, the player can see a mechanism near the gears of the gate and a mechanism toward the top center of the gate. Using Depulso on the mechanism by the gears is enough to open the gate, but it will quickly fall back shut. Arresto Momento can slow it, but it requires the proper timing with the right spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy.

The goal is to hit the mechanism behind the gate in the top center while it is revealed during a tiny window of opportunity. This will lower the wooden barricade to stop the gate from falling back down. Then, use Depulso twice on the gear mechanism to fully open the gate, use Arresto Momento to slow it down, and cast Accio on the revealed latch on the barricade. This will open the gate. If there is trouble hitting the right spot, use the Aim button to direct the spells more accurately.

A cutscene will play, and the player and Natsai will split up going in separate directions. To continue the climb, go around to the left and scale that wooden structure. Continue climbing up. The way is fairly straightforward from here, with diversions for treasure rooms, including a room where several Beasts can be rescued in Hogwarts Legacy. Around the corner is a crate to levitate to climb the next wall. After that, there will be several groups of poacher enemies, so keep combat spells at the ready. There is an Alohomora puzzle to get into the keep nearby, behind which there will be a double staircase going up.

Following the path the staircases make will take the player to the top at this point. Near the top, there will be another wooden barricade to destroy with Depulso. Behind it is a room full of loot, so take the time to go through it. Once the player climbs the last staircase, there will be a cutscene. Once the cutscene and the ensuing flight end, the player will have unlocked Highwing as a mount in Hogwarts Legacy.
