Howie Mandel Blasted For Empathizing With Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval – Armessa Movie News

After hosting Tom Sandoval’s first post-affair interview while lacking any knowledge of all things related to Vanderpump Rules, host Howie Mandel is now feeling the heat, as backlash over his unprepared interview grows. Though Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix dated for nine-years, Tom chose to start (and then continue on with for close to a year) an affair with Raquel Leviss, rather than just leaving Ariana and starting anew. In the weeks since the affair was discovered, Tom has failed to take full accountability for his actions, passing the blame on to Ariana instead, using her mental health and a lack of intimacy to justify his nearly year-long deception.

Though Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’s affair was discussed during Tom’s interview on Howie’s podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff, Tom again skirted responsibility, which Howie allowed, as within the first few minutes Howie admitted he had no prior knowledge on this scandal, as he is a non-VPR‘s viewer, stating, “I don’t understand the hoopla. I say almost like, so what?”

Viewers started to roll in to the YouTube comments shortly after the interview was posted, with one noting “This is the most unprepared, so far-fetched podcast I’ve seen in my entire life,” while another quipped “Imagine having a platform that enables THE MOST gaslighting in public I’ve ever been witness to.”

Howie Mandel Is Accused Of Not Knowing Scandoval Facts

Howie’s lack of background knowledge led to a disappointingly one-sided interview, as one viewer explains “Howie respectfully isn’t asking good questions. We need someone who actually knows what’s going on,” while another hits the nail on the head, expressing “Howie is completely missing the context of the fact that Raquel is one of Ariana’s closest friends-and the fact that Ariana was literally the only one of the group who embraced Raquel and supported her from the very beginning. And Tom is conveniently neglecting that fact. ” One viewer, however, offered Howie a bone, explaining “I think if he was more informed he would’ve had a different point of view.”

While Howie’s inability to prepare for this hour-long interview is frustrating, Tom Sandoval’s ability to toss blame onto Ariana was the worst factor. Tom listed many understandable reasons why he and Ariana had grown apart, leading to feelings of neglect and loneliness which caused a deepening friendship (alongside multiple outings) with Raquel, however, none of these reasons should place blame on Ariana, as there are zero acceptable reasons to cheat. If Howie had been able to redirect Tom’s deflections, perhaps this interview could have arrived with some form of closure, as most VPR fans just want to hear Tom cop to his year-long hidden affair with Raquel.

While season 10 is still airing, so far, VPR viewers have not yet seen the affair come to the light among the cast, though there are signs that are beginning to show, such as Tom and Raquel’s closeness in multiple scenes. As cast members are reacting alongside the fans though in real time to the ever-developing “Scandoval,” viewers have become enraptured in the drama, cheering for those who support Ariana and questioning those who allow alternative narratives, such as Howie’s platform did, wether intentional or not. As rumors have leaked that the recently-taped reunion almost gets physical, one thing is clear; the Vanderpump Rules drama is just now heating up.

Vanderpump Rules airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
