Madonna’s Grueling Late-Night Rehearsal Schedule Revealed As She Remains Bedbound – Armessa Music News

Madonna has spent four decades as one of the hardest-working women in pop. She’s now 64 and was about to embark on the grueling Celebrations tour, which would have seen her travelling around the world and performing for her legions of adoring fans. Unfortunately, that’s all in doubt, as on June 24 Madonna was rushed to the ICU after developing what her manager described as “a serious bacterial infection.”

For a few hours, things sounded very scary, though fortunately she was soon out of the hospital and a “full recovery is expected.” Even so, she’s not out of the woods yet, with reports claiming she’s too sick to leave her bed and still uncontrollably vomiting.

Entertainment Tonight has offered additional insight into Madonna’s demanding tour rehearsal routine. The outlet’s source paints a picture of her burning the midnight oil, and that “she was starting around 5:00 pm and then could sometimes wrap everything around 3:30 am”

Waking up in the late afternoon and working into the night wouldn’t cause a bacterial infection (as night shift workers will of course attest), but if she quickly altered her sleeping patterns and embarked on a physically punishing rehearsal schedule, there’s some chance her immune system may have been adversely affected.

Let’s face it, judging by the reports of non-stop puking, it’s way more likely she ate a bad burrito or some slightly off sushi than got sick by working late.

Whatever the case, the Celebrations tour is now on hiatus as Madonna recovers. A new start date is expected to be confirmed soon, along with the following shows that need to be rescheduled.

Get well soon, Queen!
