Olivia Rodrigo, the singer that blew up back in 2021 with her single ‘Drivers License’ has given fans a little taste of what is to come in her latest single, “Vampire”. The artist uploaded a picture of herself plus some lyrics to her Instagram for the upcoming single which will be the lead in her second album since her debut studio album Sour.

It has been a few years since Sour dropped and Rodrigo skyrocketed to fame and now she is ready to release her second album. Since then she went on tour in 2022, which was aptly named the Sour Tour, as well as starring in a documentary about her experience writing the former album. She spoke about her second album all the way back at the beginning of last year, and announced on June 13 of this year that the first single would be titled “Vampire.”

She has since released cover art for the single which shows the artist in full side profile, wearing black lipstick and eyeliner with two purple bandaids covering her neck. She has since shared an image with what appears to be some lyrics from the song, with “how do you lie?” written three times.

She will once again be collaborating with Dan Nigro, the producer of all the tracks for Sour and with whom she wrote “Drivers License.” The single will be released on June 30, according to her website which has a clock counting down the time. Based on the title of the single and the cover image, we can perhaps expect her next piece to be a little darker in tone, perhaps even a tad gothic.

We will just have to wait for June 30 for its release and see if she can recapture the magic of her earlier work.
