Warning: Spoilers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #113!The original Mighty Morphin iteration of the Power Rangers still stands tall as the best team, at least compared to a more recent squad. Every fan has their favorite teams and some teams have in-universe exhibited evidence of being stronger than others. With that said, it’s now confirmed that the Mighty Morphin squad is stronger than that of the more recent Dino Charge.
The Dino Charge Rangers will be tasked with the ultimate test in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #113 by Melissa Flores, Simona Di Gianfelice, Raul Angulo, and Ed Dukeshire, as previewed by BOOM! Studios‘ official website. The main cover art is by Taurin Clarke.

Rita Repulsa Sets Her Sights On The Dino Charge Rangers
Rita Repulsa, now having revamped herself as Mistress Vile, just sent every Ranger into the Darkest Hour by reviving Dark Specter and gifting him the physical body of Zordon as his literal vessel. Dark Spectre and Mistress Vile have been traveling from universe to universe, timeline to timeline, and dimension to dimension, forcibly recruiting Rangers by possessing them to do their evil bidding, slowly building their army in the process. In the next issue, they make their way to the Amber Beach Dinosaur Zoo, where they make quick work of the Dino Charge team, as can be seen in a preview below.
The Dino Charge Rangers Can’t Handle’s Mighty Morphin’s Best Villain
Perhaps it may be an unfair comparison considering Rita’s latest power boost, but this feels like the latest discrepancy in power levels when it comes to the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team and more recent teams like the Dino Charge Rangers. Rita Repulsa is easily the original Rangers’ most frequent foe, yet they were able to defeat her schemes on a weekly basis. Meanwhile, the Dino Charge Rangers hardly put up a fight before Rita possesses them to do evil. Sure, even the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are struggling to fend off Rita in her new Mistress Vile form, but by comparison, they’ve lasted far longer than the mere seconds the Dino Charge Rangers do.
This does not necessarily mean that the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are the strongest team in Power Rangers franchise history. Canonically, the Zeo Crystals are powerful enough to make the preceding team, the Zeo Rangers, far more powerful, but the Mighty Morphin squad aren’t much further behind them. That itself brings up a bigger point. One would assume that naturally, each Power Rangers team is supposed to be stronger than the last, but if the 2015 team can’t manage to handle the main antagonist of the original 1993 team, that proves that’s not the case. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers prove once again why they continue to withstand the test of time within the Power Rangers franchise.
