Rita Ora shocked Eurovision fans during this year’s song contest. The singer managed to fly to the U.K. right after her Met Gala appearance to perform during the interval of semi-final 1, showing both Europe and the rest of the world how to really start a party. And in case you’re wondering, no, Taika Waititi was nowhere in sight.

The singer took the stage in a stunning black dress, performing some of her iconic tracks, as well as her newest single “Praising You.” Joining her when she appeared onstage was Ukrainian refugee and dancer, Sofiia. According to the singer on Twitter, Sofiia “represents hope” during these troubling times, and was glad to have her on stage during her performance.

Eurovision uploaded Ora’s entire performance onto YouTube for those who missed it. Her medley stars with her 2018 track, “Anywhere.” Following that song was the 2014 track, “I will never let you down,” where she is accompanied by a stage full of dancers. Concluding her act was her newest song which featured Fatboy Slim.

After her performance, Ora went on to Twitter and thanked Eurovision for having her and the fans who enjoyed her act. She also sent her love to those from Ukraine and reminded them to stay strong.

The 2023 Eurovision song contest is co-hosted by Ukraine and the United Kingdom due to the ongoing Russian invasion. The event is taking place in Liverpool, with 10 acts already qualified for the grand finals. If you want a recap of the first semi-finals, the Eurovision Song Contest, all the performed acts are uploaded onto YouTube.

The second semi-finals will begin on May 11 at 3 PM ET, and can be accessed through Peacock.
