Sequel-Obsessed Vin Diesel Keeps Teasing a Follow-up Nobody Wants- Armessa Movie News

It doesn’t matter how much you love sequels and franchises, there isn’t a chance in hell that you love them even a fraction as much as Vin Diesel has, does, and will no doubt continue to do.

Looking at the gravel-throated lover of sleeveless apparel’s filmography, and it’s clear that he’s fond of an IP or two. Since first breaking through at the turn of the millennium with Pitch Black and The Fast and the Furious, Diesel has gone on to appear in 19 features, two short films, four TV shows, a quartet of video games, and a pair of theme park attractions that are either follow-ups, spin-offs, or offshoots to parts he’s played before.

What makes it even more remarkable is that all 31 of those projects focus on either Dominic Toretto, Richard B. Riddick, Xander Cage, or Groot, but that doesn’t mean he won’t keep trying to add another IP to the list. Even though it only made $147 million at the box office on a $90 million budget and wound up with an 18 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, Diesel continues to tease that he’s got plans for The Last Witch Hunter.

Is anyone really asking to see Diesel return as the title hero for another bout of supernatural shenanigans? The first one was terrible, and that was reflected in its critical and commercial performance, so it’s difficult to see why returning to the well would end up yielding different results.

Then again, with the current Guardians of the Galaxy lineup disbanding, Fast & Furious drawing to a close, and Riddick 4 having been stuck in development hell for a decade, maybe he’s suffering withdrawal symptoms from sequels.
