Thanks to the Star Wars Celebrations currently taking place in London, fans of the franchise have just received some updates as to what’s in store for their favorite character and the rest of the universe. The reveal that one of the upcoming films will follow Rey as she attempts to restore the Jedi Order has led fans to want to see more of this blink-and-you-miss-them character.

Star Wars Celebration revealed up-and-coming projects planned for the franchise as they finally show us all what they have been planning since the end of The Rise of Skywalker. Lucasfilm and Disney have channeled their efforts into television series for the last few years, focusing on telling stories from across the galaxies such as The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, The Book of Boba Fett, and a soon-to-be-added Ahsoka series.

They have now announced what the next trilogy will be, and it isn’t following the traditions of the past. Rather than following one character, or a group, in a linear timeline, the films will actually cover three different stories set in different times within the universe. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is set to direct a story that will follow up on Rey’s character as she attempts to kick-start the Jedi order back into action and bring about a new age of Jedi.

In regards to this last film, fans have taken to Reddit to state that they’d love to see the return of one character — Broom Boy.

Briefly seen at the end of The Last Jedi, this character suspiciously wielded the Force as a broom sprang to his hand. It indicated that there are more force-sensitive individuals out there in the world, and now it is Rey’s job to find them and train them.

Some, like this user, feel that Rey will be searching for force-sensitive people, so it makes total sense that he could return.

Though some are noticing a disturbing plot similarity.

Others really just want people to let it go.

One fan put forward that this kid was meant to be a bigger deal until things changed.

It would be in no way difficult to have him make some sort of appearance as a grown adult looking to master his abilities.

Though this user thinks that, given how the Star Wars universe is unraveling, he’ll have his own show in no time.

We have no idea yet when this film could land on the big screen, but many are hoping that it will do a better job than they perceive the last Star Wars trilogy did, regardless of whether Broom Boy is in it or not.
