Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills has been on a weight loss journey for the last year and has physically changed a lot. From the moment Erika stepped on the scene as a cast member during RHOBH season 6, Erika has been a polarizing character. While some viewers are absolutely obsessed with the singer, others don’t believe Erika deserves a spot on the show anymore. Her ongoing legal battles, thanks to her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, haven’t helped her likability with the haters either.

With the RHOBH season 13 trailer out, viewers will finally get an update on the ladies from their favorite zip code. Not only is Kyle Richards going through a separation from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, but Erika is going through a change herself. After years of not performing due to her ongoing legal issues, Erika is finally ready to get back out there and perform. While she knows she might get some backlash, Erika knows she feels her best when she’s out on stage. Maybe her weight loss contributed to her wanting to feel her best.

Erika Jayne’s Weight Loss Is Dramatic

Erika’s weight loss came out of nowhere, as she never expressed a need to lose weight on RHOBH. However, this doesn’t mean it isn’t something she hasn’t thought about. The weight is so dramatic because Erika really didn’t need to lose any weight. She always looked fabulous no matter what she was wearing. What makes Erika’s weight loss so dramatic is she lost in such a short amount of time. Erika went from her regular size to looking at least 15 pounds lighter, if not more.

Many have accused Erika of using Ozempic, a weight loss drug people with diabetes tend to use to help with weight loss. The drug has taken Hollywood and the world by storm, as many have been using Ozempic to help jump-start their weight loss journey. Even Erika’s fellow RHOBH season 13 castmate, Kyle, has been accused of using the drug to lose weight. Whatever Erika, or even Kyle, has been doing to lose weight, both ladies have never looked better.

Erika Says She Lost Weight From Menopause, Not Ozempic

Erika obviously knows people are aware of her dramatic weight loss, so it’s no surprise to her that she would get questioned about it. During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live WIth Andy Cohen on August 2, Andy acknowledged Erika’s weight loss by saying she looked like a “whisper of herself.” Before discussing her weight loss, Erika did preface that she wanted to be sensitive to anyone who may be suffering from an eating disorder. “Let me just start off by saying […] I want to make sure that I don’t trigger anybody because we have this conversation in Beverly Hills and we have a cast member with an eating disorder,” she said.

However, Erika did confirm that she lost weight but did it “hormonally.” Andy then replied, “Not Ozempic-ally?” Erika denied using the weight loss drug and said she was going through menopause, which is how she lost the weight. Erika’s fellow WWHL guest, Jackie Hoffman, questioned Erika as it’s more common for women to gain weight while going through menopause than lose it. Erika then replied, “I went to the doctor and I said get it off.” However, she never elaborated on how the doctor helped her lose weight (via People).

Does Erika Address Her Weight Loss On RHOBH Season 13?

It’s currently unclear whether or not Erika will address her dramatic weight loss on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13. There was no mention of her weight loss in the trailer, but it could be a throwaway comment made by one of her fellow castmates. It seems like Erika may have lost a majority of her weight post-filming, so it will likely not be addressed on the show. Erika has never been one to back down from a confrontation, so she will be able to answer any questions regarding her weight if someone were to ask her. However, whatever Erika did to lose weight, she has never looked better.
