90 Day Fiancé star Colt Johnson has gone through a lot since he was introduced in season 6, including a harrowing accident that he’s still recovering from. Colt and his ex-wife Larissa Santos Lima had a dramatic relationship from the start. The pair married and divorced over the course of their time in the franchise. After Colt’s appearances on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day: The Single Life, fans were pleased to finally see him settle down. He seems happy with his wife, Vanessa Guerra.

She explained that he broke his leg pretty severely, and had further complications due to the surgeries he underwent to rectify the issue. Though the photos Vanessa posted show 90 Day Fiancé‘s Colt Johnson wearing a large cast, while confined to a bed or chair, he seems to be dealing with the injury with as positive an attitude as he can muster.

While Vanessa has yet to explain exactly what caused Colt’s accident, she did recently reveal that it involved a trampoline. The 90 Day Fiancé crew was filming during the accident, so it is likely that more information will be shared in the future. The injury to Colt’s leg is intricate, involving a dislocated and broken leg, a torn meniscus, and internal complications due to a high volume of pain medication. With Colt now on the slow road to recovery, keeping a close eye on his and Vanessa’s social media is the best way to see any new updates.
How Is 90 Day Fiancé’s Colt Johnson Recovering After His Tragic Accident
Colt’s fellow 90 Day Fiance alumni have been sending support to the injured star, and asking for more information on his recovery. According to Vanessa, Colt has had three operations thus far. Though he’s come through the surgeries successfully, the abundance of painkillers that Colt was given caused his bladder to shut down, and he is currently catheterized. Colt’s recovery will be long, taking anywhere from 6 to 8 months, and he will need physical therapy in order to learn how to walk again. While he will eventually return to a normal life, it will take some time (and a lot of effort). Vanessa will be there to help her partner.
Though Colt’s current recovery timeline is not set in stone, Vanessa feels he will likely be recovering privately. She mentioned that it is unlikely that the couple will return to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise anytime soon, if ever. Regardless of whether he returns to screens, Colt will still receive support during his recovery, from his wife, costars and followers.
