Where To Find The Book of Sin In Lords of the Fallen – Armessa Movie News

Quick Links

Exacter Dunmire’s “Expose The Hallowed Sentinels” quest in Lords of the Fallen requires players to find the Book of Sin. Moreover, the Book of Sin is just one of eight quest items you must retrieve for the character to complete his mission. Nonetheless, once found, it is one less item to worry about and one step closer to completing the quest.

Finding the Book of Sin may be easier than beating Lord of the Fallen‘s Lightreaper boss. However, it is part of a pesky little task from Exacter Dunmire, who sends you on a wild goose chase across the world of Axiom and Umbral in search of specific items. His overarching goal is to expose the truth about the Hallowed Sentinels. You will need the Book of Sin to learn more about that lore and get some new armor.

The Book Of Sin Location

To find the Book of Sin in Lords of the Fallen, you need to explore Pilgrim’s Perch in the Umbral Realm. More specifically, start from the Vestige of Blind Agatha checkpoint and go through the tunnels. Continue on this path, past the enemies, until you reach the scaffoldings attached to the cliff’s side. Keep pushing past the enemies, jump across the scaffoldings, and continue straight until you reach a dead end with an enemy and a ladder to your left. Drop down this ladder.

Right after this ladder will be a second one you need to take, but make sure you’re in the Umbral Realm before you take it. If you are not in the Umbral Realm when you take the second ladder, you will fall to your death. Move across the platforms to the other corner and take the ladder up. When you reach the top of this later, turn right and climb the second ladder.

If you take it straight away, an enemy is hiding and will shoot you off the second ladder with a ranged attack. Wait for the enemy to fire his shot instead; there will be a big enough window to take the ladder without being hit.

Once you’re up the second ladder, continue straight across the narrow bridge and Emerge from the Umbral Realm. Drop down to your left from here, and you can kick a plank over. Just past it is an Umbral Flowerbed where you can make a Vestige checkpoint. In Pilgrim’s Perch, it will be called the “Anchor Between Realms” checkpoint, and you will want to make a save at this point.

If at any moment you get lost, be sure to refer to EternityInGaming’s video on YouTube to make sure you’re going the right way.

There isn't any reward for returning the Book of Sin in Lords of the Fallen.

From the Umbral Flowerbed checkpoint you created in Lords of the Fallen, head back over the plank and past where you dropped below. Continue along these scaffoldings on the side of the cliff until you reach the enemy and ladder next to the big swinging bell. You can jump down or take the ladder, but you will want to defeat these enemies.

Now, at the bottom, with the enemies defeated, go back into the Umbral Realm to reveal a path on the side of the scaffolding that leads down under it. You will know you’re in the right place as there will be a bunch of eggs on the bone bridge. Follow this path around and under the scaffolding to find the Umbral Belly containing the Book of Sins.

What The Book of Sins Does

There isn't any reward for returning the Book of Sin in Lords of the Fallen.

Unfortunately, giving Exacter Dunmire the Book of Sin results in nothing but a few lines of dialogue from the character. You can also read the book to learn about the Hallowed Sentinels lore. Aside from that, you don’t earn any reward for returning the Book of Sin, such as unlocking the Dark Crusader Class.

If you were hoping for a reward, you must return all eight quest items to Exacter Dunmire to complete the “Expose the Hallowed Sentinels” quest line. Only then will players get rewarded with the Exacter armor and weapons in Lords of the Fallen.
