Mitch believed Hannah consensually slept with him, using him to get promoted. When Hannah said that wasn’t the truth, Mitch gaslit her until she agreed to help him anonymously just so he could finally leave her alone. Hannah was hoping to get out of New York and leave everything behind her, as UBA offered her another promotion to a producer job in Los Angeles.
Hannah initially didn’t want to talk with Bradley for her interview with Mitch on The Morning Show, saying she didn’t want to become a “poster child” for Bradley’s “cause.” Hannah also had her own complicated feelings of guilt she was still grappling with, but she eventually changed her mind and privately and very emotionally revealed the truth to Bradley. While Bradley tried to offer Hannah support, the booker was insistent about just wanting to move on. Sadly, Hannah never got the chance to do so as shortly after her talk with Bradley, she died of a drug overdose.

Given the proximity in time between their talk and the overdose, Bradley blamed herself for Hannah’s death, believing she pushed an emotionally fragile Hannah further than she could handle. In her guilt, Bradley planned on leaving The Morning Show altogether, but Alex and Cory convinced her to stay and expose Fred live on-air, which they did in the season 1 finale. The moment made Bradley and Alex “feminist heroes” and gave Bradley leverage that she hadn’t had before as The Morning Show’s newcomer. After Fred was fired, Bradley used her newfound status to get Cory promoted to CEO, changing everything at UBA.
