Why Kyle Dickard Was The Worst Deckhand Ever – Armessa Movie News

[ad_1]

Kyle Dickard wasn’t a deckhand for long on Below Deck Adventure, but his short, tumultuous performance quickly solidified him as one of the worst deckhands in Below Deck history. When Kyle joined Captain Kerry Titheradge and the rest of the crew aboard the Mercury, his confidence and previous experience were immediately apparent. A self-described cowboy from Texas, Kyle initially got along with his Below Deck Adventure co-stars, but once the real work began, Kyle soon got on the crew and Below Deck Adventure viewers’ nerves.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Although the Below Deck franchise is known to bring some serious drama, it didn’t take long for Kyle to re-pack his bags when he was forced to resign by Below Deck Adventure‘s Captain Kerry. Kyle isn’t the first deckhand to gain a bad reputation, nor the first to get fired; Kyle’s now joined the Hall of Shame alongside Ryan McKeown, Tom Pearson, and Below Deck fan favorite Hannah Ferrier. Despite all the other serious actions and careless mistakes made by other yachties over the years, Kyle made enough transgressions within such a short time frame that he could easily be considered the worst deckhand to appear on the Below Deck franchise.

Kyle Dickard Refused To Listen On Below Deck Adventure

When it comes to operating a massive yacht like Mercury, the Below Deck stars must be able to listen and follow directions. While Kyle had several years of experience, his biggest professional flaw immediately became apparent when he was given directions. When Captain Kerry asked fellow Below Deck Adventure deckhand Nathan Mobley to walk him through their first anchor watch, Kyle refused to listen to Nathan’s instructions and repeatedly told him to hurry up. Kyle’s rude behavior didn’t please Below Deck fans, although Nathan handled it in stride.

Kyle Dickard Had A Bad Attitude On Below Deck Adventure

Although Kyle’s professional demeanor was a cause for concern, his behavior off the clock was even worse. While most of Kyle’s Below Deck Adventure co-stars didn’t vibe with his overly-abrasive attitude, Kyle had the most problems with Nathan, who also happened to be his roommate. Like his first anchor watch, Kyle refused to engage with his crewmates on their first night out or listen to Nathan’s simple requests as a roommate. When Nathan asked Kyle to flush the toilet, instead of acting like a reasonable adult, Kyle verbally threatened Nathan. Although some Below Deck Adventure viewers can’t stand bosun Lewis Lupton, Kyle’s unnecessary dramatics only added to his rapidly-declined reputation.

Kyle Dickard Acted Inappropriately In Front Of Guests

While Kyle was slammed for how he treated Nathan, he committed one of the biggest sins of the Below Deck franchise when he acted inappropriately in front of their first charter guests. Although the crew of Below Deck Adventure is down to have fun, work is their number one priority, especially since most Below Deck charter guests tip thousands of dollars. Despite the seriousness of their profession, Kyle flirted and attempted to kiss stew Kasie Faddah when they took their guests on a cave excursion. Word quickly got back to Australian native Captain Kerry, who considered the inappropriate behavior Kyle’s first strike, but Kyle, who Below Deck fans are over, was never able to redeem himself as a deckhand. There have been plenty of problematic crew members featured throughout the Below Deck franchise, but there’s no doubt that Kyle is the worst to be cast.
