The Turakawak Shrine is located in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Tabantha Frontier region. Unfortunately, the entrance to it is blocked by thorns, so players will need to find a way over them to get in. Since they are in the water, it’s not as simple as burning them away.

To get into the Shrine, Link can either ascend the mountain close to it and paraglide down inside the thorns or use the preferred shortcut method and use the Fuse ability to attach an explosive to his shield and then trigger the Zelda TOTK‘s Shield Surfing action, which will cause the item to explode and launch Link upwards so that he can paraglide down in front of the entrance.

How To Solve The Turakawak Shrine Puzzle

This Shrine is fairly straightforward. Upon entering, there will be a climbable cube that Link can use his Ultrahand Ability in Zelda: TOTK on to line up with the platform, so he can use it to reach the next level. Once up there, Link will notice a ladder off to the right that doesn’t reach the ground. Grab the cube Link just used and stack it onto the one on the second platform and then place them under the ladder. Now climb up the two cubes to the ladder to reach the next area. Once up there, grab the two cubes and bring them up to the level Link is now on.

Now that the other two cubes are up there, Link will notice a third, non-climbable cube. Go ahead and stack the other two cubes onto this one to create a tower of three and push it up against the platform where the end of the Shrine is. Since Link cannot climb this tower due to the singular un-climbable cube, he must use his abilities to reach the top of them. Drop back down to the area with the short ladder and go all the way to the opposite end. Once there, look up, and Link will see a grate on which the cube tower is sitting. Ascend up through the grate, and the cubes and Link will arrive at the end of this Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Get The Turakawak Shrine Chest

Link ascending through the floor next to a chest

Link likely noticed the chest upon reaching the level where the three-tower cube is built. Unfortunately, it is trapped in a room behind some bars with no obvious way to reach it. The method of getting it is similar to solving the Shrine. Head back down to the very first area of the Shrine and look up to see a very long grate in the ceiling. Use Zelda TOTK‘s Ascend ability to go up through it, and Link will arrive in the room with the chest. After opening it, he simply needs to use his Ascend ability again, and he will be out of the room and free to continue his adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
