Biggoron’s Sword is going to be obtained through a chest that will be found in The Depths of Hyrule. In order to retrieve it, however, Link will first need to take on one of Zelda: TOTK‘s mini-bosses, the Stalnox. Luckily these enemies are pretty simple to beat with a few simple strategies.

Once the Greatsword is retrieved, consider using the Zelda: TOTK Weapon Fuse ability to attach it to something powerful such as a Diamond which will give it an incredibly high power, especially for those grabbing it in early-game.

How To Find Biggoron’s Sword

This greatsword will be found by entering one of the chasms to the Akkala House of Bones in The Depths. Luckily, the mini-boss and the chest are right there when dropping in, so it won’t require any navigating through The Depths to grab this notable weapon. To find the chasm, Link will need to head out to the Eldin Region.

The entrance to the Akkala House of Bones is what appears to be the “left eye” of Skull Lake. Drop into this and Link will be met with the Stalnox as well as some other, smaller enemies. Beware that these enemies are afflicted by the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gloom.

It’s recommended that players unlock the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. Once this is unlocked, Link can use it to paraglide over to Skull Lake, which will also be easier to find with the map unlocked as it literally resembles a skull.

How To Beat The Stalnox

Link getting ready to fight a Stalnox mini-boss in Zelda: TOTK

In order to obtain the sword, Link will have to battle the mini-boss before him which will permit him access to the chest at the back of the room. The Stalnox, though large and intimidating is not that difficult to beat. The main thing to keep in mind when fighting it is to aim for its eye. Despite that the Stalnox moves around, Link can achieve this by using one of his new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom abilities, Fuse.

Since Fusing an arrow with an eye will create a honing arrow, this can allow Link to easily shoot in the general direction and hit the target every time. When the eye of the Stalnox is hit, he will fall, eventually dropping his eye which Link can then attack with his melee weapon.

It will take some repetition of shooting the eye with an arrow and then attacking the separated eye with a melee weapon to get the Stalnox’s health down to zero, but be patient, and it should be an easy win with minimal damage taken. The main thing to remember while doing this routine is to stay away from the Stalnox.

Keep backing up and moving to opposite sides of the rooms when it comes near. Once it is defeated, the chest in the room will become unlocked and Link will be able to retrieve one of the legendary weapons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Biggoron’s Sword, which has a base power of 36.
