The Forgotten Temple is a location that Link will be sent to when completing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom quest for Impa. The quest, The Dragon Tears, instructs Link to travel to the Forgotten Temple, which Impa will then mark on Link’s map as an objective point.

The Forgotten Temple is going to be found Northwest of Central Hyrule on Zelda: TOTK‘s map. While finding it may not necessarily be tricky since its location is marked, getting into it is another story. First, Link will need to descend into the canyon from above to find the clear entrance.

How To Get Into The Forgotten Temple

Upon reaching the Forgotten Temple in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Forgotten, Link will see that much of it is destroyed and blocked by rubble. The easiest option for getting inside is coming to the Temple from above since it is in a canyon. When doing so, Link can paraglide down, and there will be a large semicircle opening near the top of the Temple through which Link can head in. It will be obvious it is the right entrance because Impa’s Hot Air Balloon will be sitting there with Cado standing right next to it. Once landed, go ahead and speak with Cado.

When interacting, Cado will advise Link that Impa has gone further into the Forgotten Temple. So keep going straight ahead to follow her path until Link runs into her. There are some gaps for Link to paraglide over along the way, but be sure to explore the area as well because there is a chest to be found here too, and some enemies to beat. Eventually, Link will find Impa in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and reach an overlook area that features a large map of the surface of Hyrule. There are certain markings on the map indicating something specific that Link will be told are the locations of Dragon Tears, also known as memories.

How To Complete The Dragon Tears Quest

At this point, it will be revealed that the markings on this map are Geoglyps indicating the locations of Dragon Tears across Hyrule. There are eleven Geoglyphs marked on this map, and they can be tracked down in any order. They won’t be marked on Link’s Tears of the Kingdom map, so be sure to take a picture of this using the Camera feature or a screenshot on the actual Nintendo Switch itself. When tracking them down, they are pretty hard to miss. When approaching the general area, the Geoglyph will be visible in the overworld, and Link only needs now to explore it, looking for the Dragon Tear, which will be a small puddle.

Once collected, they will be filled in on the Purah Pad, both the Geoglyph and the actual Dragon Tear location. Then, when interacting with the Dragon Tear itself, a cutscene will begin, usually showing Princess, Zelda. While eleven are originally marked on the map, there is actually a twelfth memory to be discovered, but it will only appear after all the other Dragon Tears in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been found and collected. At that point, Link may go and track down the final Dragon Tear.
