The Morning Show season 3 spent its first few episodes teasing a secret that Bradley and Cory were hiding, and episode 5 confirmed that it’s worse than viewers could have ever expected. The reveal of Bradley and Cory’s secret helped explain just why they were so concerned about it getting out with the UBA cyberhack and the lengths they were willing to go to keep it hidden. There have been many shocking secrets in The Morning Show with serious implications if they ever got out, but season 3, episode 5 took things to a new level with Bradley and Cory.

The Morning Show season 3 picked up two years after the season finale left off, raising plenty of questions that had gone unanswered thus far. Perhaps the biggest of them was what Bradley and Cory had been hiding and why. In The Morning Show season 3, episode 1, Cory used their shared secret against Bradley to get her to board Hyperion One in Alex’s stead, reminding her that she owed him for what he did for her. From that alone, it was clear that whatever they were hiding had to be pretty bad, but it still managed to exceed any and all expectations.

The Morning Show season 3, episode 5 went back in time to fill in the gaps the time jump had created, including what Bradley and Cory had done that was worth hiding. The episode revealed that Bradley had been reporting in the Capitol on the day of the January 6 attack and was able to gather undercover footage when things turned violent. In her filming, she managed to catch her brother, Hal, who was introduced as a character in The Morning Show season 2, assaulting a police officer on camera.

This put Bradley in a tough spot, as her mother had recently died and her brother was the only true family she had left. After Hal told Bradley he was going to be a dad soon, she made the decision to cover up his actions by taking his phone and deleting the footage she had of him. The footage she did use helped her leverage her way to a promotion to the UBA Evening News desk, which is why it put Cory in a difficult position as well when she came to him with the truth.

The FBI had subpoenaed Bradley’s footage from the Capitol attack to try and identify the man who’d assaulted the officer. Knowing that this man was Hal and that if she gave over all her footage, the cuts would make it clear that she deleted the crucial moment, she turned to Cory for help. Cory then reluctantly helped her continue to cover up Hal’s involvement as he knew that the truth coming out wouldn’t just hurt Bradley, whom he’d previously confessed he was in love with, but UBA as well given Bradley’s recent promotion in The Morning Show season 3.

What Could Happen To Bradley & Cory If Their Secret Becomes Public In The Morning Show

If Bradley and Cory’s secret were to be revealed in The Morning Show season 3, there would surely be some strong backlash from the public and UBA. However, the bigger concern is what this would mean for them legally. In deleting footage that the FBI specially subpoenaed, both Bradley and Cory are guilty of tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice, which are serious felonies. The Morning Show season 3 is already setting up Cory’s downfall, but if they’re not careful, Bradley and Cory could be spending The Morning Show season 4 behind bars.
