Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 Part 2 Features Character Returns & Familiar Locations – Armessa Movie News

Fear the Walking Dead showrunner Ian Goldberg has confirmed season 8 part 2 will see the return of familiar characters and locations from the show’s universe. The long-running spinoff will end with six more episodes, which feature the return of season 3 villain Troy Otto. As Madison and her group try and rebuild PADRE as a safe haven for survivors, Troy marches in with an army of the dead, seeking to destroy it.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Goldberg confirmed there will be familiar characters in Fear the Walking Dead season 8, alongside recognizable locations. Some of them seem to be from the wider Waking Dead universe. Check out what Goldberg had to say below:

We ended the first half of the season with Madison in a place where she vowed to turn PADRE into the place it was always meant to be. We are going to see how that’s going for her in some surprising ways. It’s going to involve the return of some faces that we haven’t seen in a while, both friend and foe. It’s also going to involve a return to some places, literally, that we have seen elsewhere in The Walking Dead Universe. They’re going to speak to our characters’ states of mind, so it’s going to be pretty epic.

What Returning Faces & Places Mean For Fear The Walking Dead’s Final Episodes

In addition to returning as the final villain for the show, Troy also came back with Alicia’s makeshift arm. The last time Madison’s daughter was seen alive was at the end of season 7, her fate unknown after being exposed to radiation. It’s likely Fear the Walking Dead‘s villain story for season 8 will also reveal what happened to Alicia, possibly confirming her return.

Interestingly, Goldberg claims the locations coming in the final six episodes are from other shows in the zombie universe. This might mean a brief return for Morgan as he arrives in Alexandria, still searching for Rick Grimes. Other locations that could come back include Hershel’s farm or the prison, two locations from early parts of the original show located in Georgia – just like PADRE.

With Troy’s survival from season 3 making for one final challenge, it seems anything could happen in Fear the Walking Dead‘s last six episodes. Since the show has already been confirmed to have a definitive ending, it will hopefully bring a satisfying conclusion to its characters’ stories. At the same time, that doesn’t mean future spinoffs can’t acknowledge the events of the show and its lasting legacy in the franchise.
