On The Bachelorette season 20, episode 4, Charity Lawson finally said goodbye to frontrunner/villain Brayden Bowers, so the power rankings of her suitors have now shifted. Charity, a 27-year-old child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, began her journey with 25 men. She has now narrowed the group down to just six. After Brayden went home, she eliminated Caleb Balgaard, Michael Barbour, and John Buresh at the rose ceremony.
The Bachelorette season 20 is already at the halfway point, with hometown dates just one episode away. In the next episode, Charity will have to decide whose families she wants to meet and who she can see a future with. Here’s who has the best chance of making it to the end with Charity and becoming her fiancé.
6 Tanner Courtad
Although Tanner, a 30-year-old mortgage lender from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, finally shared his first kiss with Charity during episode 4, he has a lot of catching up to do if he wants to receive a hometown date. His relationship with Charity has been slower to grow. However, they do seem to like each other.
Although Charity has said that she likes that she can be goofy and have fun with Tanner, they need to connect on a deeper level for her to go to his hometown instead of some of the other men with whom she shares a stronger bond. They haven’t even had a one-on-one date yet. However, Charity did choose him over John, who she seemed to be forming a strong relationship with, so perhaps she feels more strongly about Tanner than it appears to on the show.
5 Sean McLaughlin
Sean, a 25-year-old software sales rep from Tampa, Florida, became a strong contender to win Charity’s heart after the Barbie Sing-Off group date. He shared a passionate kiss with her on stage, which made her forget she was on a group date for a second. They continued to connect throughout the episode, but the following week, Sean didn’t have much time with her. Although he continues to reassure her that he wants to be engaged at the end of this, he hasn’t had a one-on-one date with Charity yet. Sean will most likely need more time with Charity to convince her that she should meet his family.
4 Xavier Bonner
Xavier, a 27-year-old biomedical scientist, who currently resides in Carrboro, North Carolina, was the lucky man who received Charity’s first kiss of the season. Although he was on group dates for the next two weeks, he continued to win her over in episode 3 when he knitted a scarf for her. During episode 4, Xavier received a one-on-one date, during which Charity at first expressed concerns about him in her confessional because he reminded her of men from her past relationships.
However, when Xavier opened up to her about his family, he showed Charity a whole new side of himself. He opened up to her about how his mom has multiple sclerosis and, as her caretaker, his dad does everything to provide for her. Xavier wanted to pursue his Ph.D. in biomedicine so that maybe he could one day help his mom. This moved Charity to tears, and she saw him in a different light. She said her intuition was telling her that all good signs point to Xavier.
3 Aaron Bryant
Aaron, a 29-year-old software salesman from San Diego, California, and Charity have shared a strong bond since night one. She even gave him the first one-on-one date of the season. On that date, they shared that they both want long marriages like the ones their parents share. Since then, Aaron has become Charity’s protector, warning her about Brayden and standing up for her. He won some alone time with her on the episode 4 group date, during which they continued to build their connection. It’s possible that Charity and Aaron could end up engaged during the finale.
2 Joey Graziadei
Joey is a 27-year-old tennis pro and teacher who lives in Lawai, Hawaii. Joey and Charity had a great conversation on night one, but they bonded when they shared their first kiss during the Kissing Contest group date in episode 2. They broke the record for the longest Bachelor Nation kiss at four minutes and 25 seconds.
Since then, Charity and Joey have continued to build their relationship. Joey has opened up to Charity about his family, including the story of his dad coming out as gay and memories of his beloved grandfather. At the episode 4 group date, Charity gave Joey the rose. Charity sees Joey as who’s serious about getting engaged at the end of this journey. It isn’t hard to imagine Joey getting down on one knee for Charity during the finale.
1 Dotun Olubeko
Although Dotun, a 30-year-old integrative medicine specialist who lives in Brooklyn, New York, didn’t even speak to Charity during the cocktail party on premiere night, he has quickly emerged as the frontrunner of the group. Charity and Dotun bonded at the week 2 barbecue. In episode 3, during the group date, Charity invited him up to her hotel room so they could have some time alone together. They talked about how connected they felt to each other.
On The Bachelorette season 20, episode 4, Charity took Dotun bungee jumping on a one-on-one date. After they experienced facing their fears together, they felt closer than ever. Dotun isn’t afraid to express his true feelings for Charity, which is something she wants in a partner. Both have expressed in their confessionals that they think the other could be their forever person. Dotun and Charity share a deep connection that seems to be the most special of all the men. They already seem like a couple, and it would be beautiful if Dotun proposed to Charity in the end.
As Charity moves forward on her Bachelorette journey, things could change quickly, as they did with Brayden. However, the connections that she has with these remaining six men seem very real and also drama-free. None of them have expressed doubts about the process, and they all seem ready to propose at the end. Charity will truly have to follow her heart as she decides among these six guys because they’re all such wonderful men who would make great husbands.
