The latest episode of Hot Ones starred Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhaal. At one point during the show, while under the pressure of venting off hot wings — already half losing his mind with the effort and letting loose that chaotic Gyllenhaal energy he’s famous for — he accused one of his predecessors of being an “a*shole,” little knowing that person was his MCU co-star Elizabeth Olsen.
There’s a half-second pause where Gyllenhaal realizes he’s messed up big time, and then it’s off to regret-ville with the Hollywood thespian. Both he and Sean Evans (the host) laugh it off, fortunately, so let’s hope that Olsen will find it just as humorous.
The Mandalorian fans realize why season 3 is a step down from the first two outings
While the third season of The Mandalorian has incorporated a ton of exciting plot developments for the main protagonists, Star Wars fans can’t help but notice a discernible drop in the storytelling quality.
Now, we might know why. According to what fans are saying, season three has been hell-bent on undoing everything season two established, so much so that by the penultimate episode, we’re essentially right back where we started with the Mandalorians, Moff Gideon, and even Grogu.
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni may not be quite out of ideas just yet, but they’ve been dancing on the edges of repetition with The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian for a while now.
