Moon Knight Season 2 Theory Connects Oscar Isaac’s MCU Hero To Avengers 5 – Armessa Movie News

Summary

  • Moon Knight season 2 could feature Rama-Tut as the villain, introducing him as a major Kang variant and connecting the franchise to the greater MCU.
  • Rama-Tut’s presence in Moon Knight season 2 could set up the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, as he is one of the leaders of the Council of Kangs.
  • Having Rama-Tut as the villain in Moon Knight season 2 would fix the problem of the series’ initial isolation from the MCU and make Moon Knight a key asset in the fight against the Council of Kangs.

A new theory for Moon Knight season 2 suggests that Oscar Isaac’s superhero could have a major role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the multiverse has brought forth the Council of Kangs, a new threat that will soon emerge in the MCU’s ongoing Multiverse Saga. To that end, Moon Knight could easily become a major asset against one of the Council’s leading variants.

Although Moon Knight season 2 has yet to be officially greenlit by Marvel Studios, recent reports have suggested a greater focus on multiple seasons for streaming projects as opposed to limited series. This certainly bodes well for the “Fist of Khonshu” considering the first season’s cliffhanger involving Moon Knight’s third alter Jake Lockley, as well as Easter eggs pointing to one Kang variant who appeared in the post-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: Rama-Tut. Keeping that in mind, here’s how Moon Knight season 2 can help set up The Kang Dynasty.

Moon Knight Season 2’s Villain Will Properly Introduce Kang Variant Rama-Tut

Following Moon Knight season 1’s introductions to the pantheon of Egyptian gods and mythology that exists in the MCU, the Egyptian pharaoh Kang variant known as Rama-Tut would fit extremely well as Moon Knight season 2’s predominant villain. Likewise, Rama-Tut’s presence would likely involve some time-travel/multiversal elements such as Marc Spector and Steven Grant being transported to Ancient Egypt. Regardless, it stands to reason that the Kang variant would provide some exciting new narratives while also connecting the Moon Knight franchise to the greater MCU at large.

Rama-Tut was the very first variant of Kang to be featured in the Marvel Comics universe (even before Kang himself). Having traveled from the year 3000 to Ancient Egypt, Rama-Tut used his future technology to become a conqueror, a pharaoh king whose rule was absolute. While The Fantastic Four were the first to face and defeat this version of Kang, the MCU could easily swap in Moon Knight instead, especially after Rama-Tut was teased in an Easter egg featured in the first season of Moon Knight.

Rama-Tut And The Council Of Kangs Will Be The Main Villains Of Avengers 5

Rama-Tut becoming Moon Knight season 2’s villain has great potential. Firstly, it would allow Moon Knight to directly set up the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As seen at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Rama-Tut was joined by the Kang variants Immortus and the Centurion, becoming a triumvirate seemingly in charge of the entire Council of Kangs which was featured as well with legions of variants assembling in a massive arena. Acknowledging that certain individuals in the MCU have begun to touch and tamper with the multiverse, it seems as though the Council is preparing for war to protect all they’ve built.

Rama-Tut as Moon Knight season 2’s villain could perhaps end with the Egyptian pharaoh variant being defeated. If that’s the case, this would likely put the main MCU timeline of Earth-616 directly in the Council of Kangs’ crosshairs. This could effectively make Moon Knight season 2 a dynamic prelude ahead of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty which is currently set for release in 2026.

Whether it takes place in the present or the ancient past during Rama-Tut’s empire seen in the comics, there are lots of exciting narrative avenues for Moon Knight season 2 on top of all the other exciting teases such as Jake Lockley and his continued service to the moon god Khonshu. Additionally, Kang variants are typically time travelers and men of science. As such, it would be very exciting to see Rama-Tut faced with an avatar like Marc Spector who’s been supernaturally imbued with powers from a supernatural deity.

How This Moon Knight Season 2 Theory Fixes A Major MCU Problem

Moon Knight Season 2 Improvements Image

Rama-Tut in Moon Knight season 2 (and all that would undoubtedly entail for the greater MCU) would fix a major problem from Moon Knight season 1. Although it was good that the series was initially more isolated from the MCU to adequately establish the hero’s unique origins and lore, the hope would be that Moon Knight season 2 would now have more connection points to the MCU overall. Naturally, Moon Knight facing Rama-Tut would easily solve this problem. Likewise, having unique prior knowledge of the Egyptian pharaoh variant would also make Moon Knight a key asset in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
